The Curious World of Unusual Portraits

Terms and Conditions

Artists submitting work agree to the following terms and conditions:

1 - Must fully read and agree to all terms & conditions on this page.

2 - Must fully read each page related to registering on this platform and submitting each individual work.

3 - Dates and deadlines are critical for the exhibition.  The artist must become fully aware of and enter into their own personal calendars the following dates:

  • Submittal Deadline: 11/26/2023
  • Notification Date: 11/30/2023
  • Drop-off Dates: 12/5/2023 through 12/7/2023
  • Opening Reception: 12/9/2023
  • Closing Date:  12/22/2023
  • Dates for picking up artwork:  12/28/2023 through 12/29/2023

4 - Artist acknowledges that they have been advised to purchase insurance to cover the value of their work.  Arabi Visual Arts cannot be held liable for any loss or damage that occurs and does not carry any type of property insurance to cover the works.

5 - The art must arrive in a crate or package that can be used to return the art in case it is not sold.  A pre-paid shipping label must be provided (in the box of shipped work) unless the artist will pick their unsold work up directly.  Failure to provide proper packaging or shipping label will result in an invoice for our actual costs, plus a 10% markup.  By submitting physical works, the artist agrees that Arabi Visual Arts may at their discretion donate unclaimed art to a local charity for anything not picked up or shipping facilitated within two weeks of the closing period for returning art.  Please read additional guidelines.

6 - All art must be provided "ready to hang" - meaning it has wire attached to d-rings on the back and is professionally framed (unless unframed works have been approved).  In the case of small canvas or art boards, a sawtooth hanger may be acceptable.  Please take extra care and err on the side of caution in this regard.  Carelessness in this regard may result in your work not being hung in the physical gallery. Please read additional guidelines.

7 - Arabi Visual Arts retains a 30% commision on any works sold online in the Web Gallery or in the physical gallery.

8 - Artist MUST be able to receive funds via Zelle, Cashapp, or Venmo in US funds.

9 - If a payout to any artist meets or exceeds $600, we are required to issue a 1099 form and will require your social security number prior to payout.

10 - Arabi Visual Arts generally encourages buyers to pick up art at the end of the exhibition.  However, we reserve the right to allow buyers to take their work home immediately at our sole discretion.

11 - All work will remain on this platform indefinitely.  The artist may request their work be removed from ArtCall or Arabi Visual Arts platforms at the end of the exhibition.

12 - Arabi Visual Arts reserves the right to transfer the images, data, and other information to our own website, and/or a different art sales platform at any time.

13 - Artist acknowledges that the images they submit may be used to promote this exhibition.  This includes sharing the works on our website, social media, newsletter, calendars of events, and via press releases.  No additional notification will be given and often we are unaware of which publications will select certain images.  Arabi Visual Arts does not take any other usage license for the work, and no other party is authorized to make reproductions for sale or any purpose other than promoting this event.  Note that it may be necessary to crop your work for certain publications, and/or aggregate together with other member's work and overlay with text.

14 - Artist retains full copyright ownership.  Arabi Visual Arts will never infringe on that right.

15 - Artists agree that by providing their social media handles, they may be tagged in social media posts.
